Santiam Hospital & Clinics is an independent, not-for-profit, 40 bed acute-care community-based hospital with 13 clinics across 8 specialties settled in the foothills of the Cascades serving many recreational sites as well as agricultural communities. Company History
In 1951, out of concern for the health and welfare of North Santiam area residents, community leaders formed a non-profit organization to plan for construction of a hospital. The non-profit organization became Santiam Memorial Hospital. After completion of construction, in part funded by donations from over 3,000 individuals and businesses, Santiam Memorial Hospital opened its doors in April 1953. Major expansion and remodeling programs in 1963, 1984, and 1993 preceded the most recent inpatient services remodel in 2013, which again nearly doubled the size of the hospital. The four-story tower offers a spacious, modern environment that houses Surgery, a Family Birthing Center, Critical Care, and Medical-Surgical Services.
